Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shannon Bannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shannon Bannon!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams shoots in for a double leg but Bannon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Adams showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bannon.
Bannon throws a series of punches but Adams avoids them all with ease.
Adams shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Adams shoots in and drives through. Bannon sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Adams closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bannon is trying to get back to his feet.
Bannon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Adams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Adams trying to control the position but Bannon is working away.
Adams postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bannon seems a little lost for a moment, as Adams dominates the positioning.
Adams is trying to get an arm triangle but Bannon is defending well.
Adams tries for a kimura but Bannon is defending well.

Adams wants to control but Bannon is keeping him busy.
The ground and pound from Adams seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Adams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Adams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Adams throws a strike aimed at the side of Bannon's head but Bannon avoids it well.
Bannon is not content to let Adams control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Adams tries to advance to mount but can't.
Adams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bannon is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Adams misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Adams shoots in and bounces Bannon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bannon keeping full guard, as Adams tries to pass.

Bannon pushes Adams off and scrambles back to his feet.
No joy there for Bannon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bannon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Adams.
Bannon ducks under a wild hook from Adams.
Bannon staying out of range there.
Bannon lands a left and a right that send Adams crashing to the mat, dazed. Bannon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Mark Adams has been cut.
Shannon Bannon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bannon tries to bum rush Adams with a series of wild strikes but Adams uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Adams scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bannon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bannon defending against the ground and pound.
Adams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bannon keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Adams is trying to move to mount but Bannon reverses beautifully and ends up in Adams's guard.
Adams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shannon Bannon dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mark Adams's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A telegraphed right hand from Adams misses the target.
Bannon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bannon throws a right hand that Adams ducks under and follows up with a left that Adams also avoids with ease.
Adams shoots in but no luck this time.
Adams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bannon was covering up waiting for the punch and Adams finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Bannon scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Bannon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Adams.
Bannon connects with a nice cross there... Adams is looking wobbly and Bannon recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Adams to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Bannon jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shannon Bannon!
