Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charon Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Radzak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charon Hawkins!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Igor Radzak!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins keeps the fight on the outside.
Hawkins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hawkins swats away the attempt to clinch by Radzak.
Hawkins lands with a cross.
Hawkins lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hawkins connects with a high kick.
Hawkins scores with a kick to the body.

The fight stays on the outside here - Radzak looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Radzak throws a head kick that Hawkins semi-blocks.


It looks like Charon Hawkins has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hawkins throws a head kick that misses.
Radzak doesn't manage to clinch there - Hawkins circles away.

and Hawkins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Hawkins gets control of Radzak's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hawkins will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Radzak avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Radzak gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Hawkins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Radzak is trying to defend but Hawkins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Hawkins darts in and clinches Radzak up against the cage.

Hawkins throws an elbow but Radzak slips to the side and avoids it well.
Radzak is trying to get back to his feet.

Hawkins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Radzak, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hawkins trying to control the action but Radzak is working from the bottom.
Hawkins working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hawkins sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Radzak is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Hawkins tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hawkins has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Radzak prevents Hawkins from moving into mount.
Hawkins in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Radzak is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Hawkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Radzak keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Radzak tries to clinch up but Hawkins circles away and keeps his distance.
Hawkins moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Radzak has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Radzak there as he acknowledges the shot.

Radzak gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hawkins tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hawkins is trying to force a seperation but Radzak has the dominant position.
Radzak is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Radzak using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hawkins has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Hawkins wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Radzak has him pressed against the cage.
Hawkins tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Radzak just stands there and leans against the cage.

Hawkins jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Radzak walks away with a smile on his face. Hawkins gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charon Hawkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hawkins throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Radzak clinches.
Hawkins tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Radzak smiles and moves away.

Radzak tries to clinch up but Hawkins circles away and keeps his distance.

Radzak gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Radzak closes the distance and clinches.
Radzak looking to throw knees to the head but Hawkins is blocking nicely.

Hawkins pulls guard effortlessly.

Hawkins looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Radzak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hawkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Radzak tries to stand but Hawkins is controlling from the bottom.
Hawkins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Radzak is one step ahead there.
Radzak would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Hawkins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Radzak defends it easily.

Radzak wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Hawkins's closed guard. He's half up but Hawkins has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Hawkins pivots and extends the arm, Radzak falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Hawkins! Well done that man!
