The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wiggin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bartnik is trying to control but can't.
Bartnik wants to improve his position but Wiggin is controlling well.
Wiggin is taking a breather. Bartnik says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wiggin decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Wiggin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bartnik's guard.
Bartnik is refusing to be controlled, as Wiggin sits in half guard.
Bartnik has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wiggin is working away from the top position though.
Bartnik is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Wiggin looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Wiggin wants to control but Bartnik is keeping him busy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Wiggin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bartnik won't be happy with that.

Bartnik is trying to work for a sweep but Wiggin has mounted him!
Wiggin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wiggin lands a big head kick that sends Bartnik tumbling to the mat! Wiggin takes a step backwards and waves Bartnik back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Bartnik is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
