Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Robertson!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A combination from Clark does no damage.
A right-left combo lands from Clark.
Clark moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Clark uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Robertson.
Robertson fails with the takedown.
Robertson needs to keep his hands up - Clark had a free shot at his head there.

Robertson throws a series of punches but Clark moves out of range.

Robertson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Robertson tries to close the distance and clinch but Clark swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Clark pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Robertson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Clark sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Clark lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Clark misses with a looping right.
Robertson staying out of range there.
Robertson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clark throws a front kick that sends Robertson stumbling back into the cage.

Clark throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Robertson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Robertson moves forwards but Clark connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Robertson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Clark cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Clark throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Robertson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Clark.

Clark stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Robertson.
Robertson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Clark's waist but Clark gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Robertson off to one side.
Ryan Clark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Robertson.

Clark throws an overhand right that lands on Robertson's shoulder, as Robertson tries to avoid the shot.
Clark throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Clark closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Clark swings for the body but Robertson moves out of range.
Robertson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Robertson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Clark will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Nice straight punches there by Robertson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Robertson.
Clark is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Robertson.

Robertson throws a chopping leg kick but Clark manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Robertson tests Clark's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Robertson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Robertson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Clark throws out the jab.
Clark has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Robertson.
Robertson missing with a left hand there. Clark was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Clark is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Robertson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Clark is in trouble now - Robertson has advanced to mount!
Robertson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Clark is squirming around, avoiding Robertson's attempts to control the action.

Robertson is working for a guillotine from mount but Clark frees his head quite easily.
Robertson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Robertson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Brian Robertson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Robertson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
