PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Crusher Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Ringseal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ringseal comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Man in the box" kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Crusher Jackson had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Crusher Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alan Ringseal!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson thuds his right hand into Ringseal's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Ringseal.

Ringseal drives through and clinches with Jackson against the ropes.
Jackson wants to break free but Ringseal has control.
Ringseal holding his opponent close, against the ropes.

Ringseal has clasped his hands together around Jackson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Ringseal remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ringseal shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard.

Ringseal shoots in and bounces Jackson off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Jackson throws a right and a left that Ringseal avoids nicely.

Ringseal shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ringseal was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ringseal jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jackson manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ringseal is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Ringseal has Jackson pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ringseal pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackson tumbling to the mat - Ringseal dives into Jackson's guard.
