Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shafiq Hussain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Smidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shafiq Hussain had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smidt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Hussain wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Smidt has him pressed against the cage.
Hussain tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smidt smiles and moves away.

Hussain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smidt tries to avoid it but Hussain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smidt to the ground. Smidt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
