Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamison McGown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Hood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McGown might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tomoyasu Hotei - Battle Without Honor Or Humanity. Jamison McGown has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hood tries to clinch up but McGown circles away and keeps his distance.

Hood throws a series of punches but McGown avoids them all with ease.
Hood throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Hood throws a nice looking combination but McGown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No joy there for Hood, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hood looks to score with a jab to the body but McGown is just out of range.

Hood stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGown looks to land a left hand but Hood moved out of range nicely.
McGown uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hood.

Hood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McGown circles away quickly and effectively.

and McGown counters with a stiff right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hood misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hood falls off balance throwing a combination
and McGown counters with a right hand that sends Hood tumbling to the canvas! Can McGown finish him? He dives into Hood's guard looking to do just that!
Hood wants to stand but McGown is controlling the position.
McGown looking to sit in guard and control but Hood gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hood must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
McGown wriggles free and stands up.

and McGown counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

McGown connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hood. Hood circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That has opened up Joey Hood's cut even more.

McGown throws a sloppy head kick and Hood moves out of range easily.
McGown lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hood at a distance.

Joey Hood's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joey Hood's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
