Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tempelton Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rice comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Thunderstruck. Tempelton Dick will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rice shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dick as he avoids it easily.

and Rice counters with a three punch combo that has Dick backing up. Dick nods at Rice to acknowledge the strikes.
Dick shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rice defends it nicely.
Rice will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Rice tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Rice has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dick's face.

Rice wants to control the pace but Dick is squirming around nicely.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

That has opened up Tempelton Dick's cut even more.
Dick is bucking up trying to escape but Rice cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Rice rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dick moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rice looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rice shoots in looking for a takedown. Dick tries to sprawl out of it but Rice keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Steve Rice.
Dick looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rice connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Tempelton Dick's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Dick dives in and grabs Rice's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rice pushes down on Dick's head and hops out.

Rice throws a right hand that Dick ducks under and follows up with a left that Dick also avoids with ease.
Dick is breathing heavily.
Rice on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Dick gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dick is trying to control the position but Rice postures up.
Dick wants to control the position but Rice says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Dick wants to get back to his feet.
Dick is in trouble now - Rice has advanced to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
