Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ed Kowalczyk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leon Spyridon!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spyridon shoots in for a double leg but Kowalczyk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Spyridon.
Kowalczyk showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Spyridon.
Kowalczyk jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Leon Spyridon has been cut.
Kowalczyk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kowalczyk misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Spyridon shoots in for a takedown but Kowalczyk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ed Kowalczyk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leon Spyridon.
Spyridon avoids the head kick by Kowalczyk.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kowalczyk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Spyridon fails to land the takedown.
A nice combination there by Kowalczyk.
Kowalczyk slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Spyridon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kowalczyk as he jumps to the side.
Kowalczyk throws out a powerful jab.
Kowalczyk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spyridon circles away quickly and effectively.
Spyridon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kowalczyk lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Spyridon can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Kowalczyk and Spyridon drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Kowalczyk.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Kowalczyk!
