PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, DJ Storm!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hawk.
Storm swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Storm fails with a takedown attempt.
Hawk slaps away a takedown attempt from Storm, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Storm rushes Hawk and presses him up against the cage.
Hawk is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Storm is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hawk manages to break the clinch.
Storm throws a head kick but Hawk moves out of range.
Storm shoots in but Hawk avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hawk stalks Storm and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Storm's face. Storm staggers backwards, shaken.

Storm shoots in for a takedown but Hawk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hawk throws a right hand that Storm ducks under and follows up with a left that Storm also avoids with ease.

and Storm holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
