Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fritiof Konkas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Vincent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vincent has chosen Hands in the Sky as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vincent tries to clinch there but Konkas circles away.

Vincent decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Vincent controlling the action here.

Vincent stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Konkas to get to his feet.
Konkas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Vincent fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Konkas sprawls well initially but Vincent persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Konkas tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Konkas is trying to maintain the position but Vincent is very close to passing his half guard.
Konkas is looking for a sweep. Vincent is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Konkas wants to control but Vincent passes into side.
Konkas is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Konkas wants to get back to his feet but Vincent drags him back down.

Konkas lands a right hand.
Vincent wants a takedown but no success here.
A frustrated look appears on Konkas's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Konkas lands with a light punch inside.
Konkas's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Vincent tries to land knees in the clinch but Konkas avoids the damage to the body.
Konkas fails to pull guard.
Konkas wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vincent has him pressed against the cage.
Konkas wants to get back to striking at distance but Vincent won't allow it.

Vincent breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vincent dodges the punch combination from Konkas.

and Vincent counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Konkas!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Konkas wants to hold on but Vincent pushes him away.
Vincent controlling the pace for now.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Vincent working for a guillotine from mount but Konkas is in no mood to give up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vincent looking to control and managing it successfully.

Vincent get's back to his feet.
Konkas thows a body shot but no joy.
Konkas tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Vincent counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Konkas's guard now.
Vincent wants to control from the top but Konkas keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DJ Vincent dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Konkas wants to get back to his feet but Vincent is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Konkas trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Konkas throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Vincent.
Vincent controls the position from side control.

Vincent thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Konkas is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Konkas tries to bench press Vincent off him but Vincent keeps the position.
Vincent prevents Konkas from escaping the position.
Vincent takes a little break here. Konkas wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Konkas is looking for a sweep.
Vincent controlling the position from side mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Vincent closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Konkas did well to prevent Vincent getting side control.
Vincent passes into side control, despite Konkas's attempt to control the position.
Konkas throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Vincent is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Konkas's shoulder. That is not cool.
Konkas tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vincent wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

DJ Vincent has got the better of the ground game so far.
Konkas is trying to improve his position.

DJ Vincent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Konkas swinging wildly here.

Vincent pushes Konkas up against the cage in a clinch.
Vincent tries for a takedown. No joy.
Konkas is trying to force a seperation but Vincent has the dominant position.
Konkas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Vincent walks away with a smile on his face. Konkas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Konkas closes the distance and pushes Vincent back into the cage.
Vincent tries to work over Konkas's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Konkas tries to break free but Vincent pushes him back against the cage.
Konkas tries to pull guard but Vincent won't allow it.
Konkas wants to get back to striking at distance but Vincent won't allow it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Konkas is trying to break free.
Vincent's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Konkas lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Vincent gets underhooks to prevent Konkas's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fritiof Konkas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Konkas misses with a short punch on the inside.

Vincent is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Konkas tries to pull guard but Vincent holds him up against the cage and eventually Konkas drops back down to his feet.
Vincent blocks an uppercut.
Vincent with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Vincent has picked Konkas up - he's going for a ride! Vincent dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Vincent passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Konkas!

Let's hope that Vincent has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Vincent has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
