The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton tries to clinch but Fitzwell moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fitzwell.
Hamilton lands a high kick!
Fitzwell looks to land a left hand but Hamilton moved out of range nicely.
Hamilton moves in looking to clinch but Fitzwell pushes him off.
Fitzwell throws a looping overhand right but Hamilton ducks down to avoid it.
Hamilton tries for a takedown but Fitzwell circles away easily
and Fitzwell counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Joey Hamilton has been cut.
Fitzwell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hamilton sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hamilton darts in trying to clinch
and Fitzwell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hamilton is breathing heavily.
Hamilton doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fitzwell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fitzwell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hamilton tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Fitzwell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Hamilton on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hamilton tries to get out of the position.

Fitzwell throws a strike but Hamilton rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Hamilton throws and elbow that misses. Fitzwell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hamilton's guard. Nice move by Fitzwell!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fitzwell with a nice head shot there.
Fitzwell lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Hamilton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fitzwell wants to control from the top but Hamilton keeps moving.
Fitzwell is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
