PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Akainu Sakazuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aldo has chosen Rollin - Limp Bizkit as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Leo Aldo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo wants to clinch up but Sakazuki keeps it at a distance.
Aldo tries a head kick but it misses.
Sakazuki blocks a head kick by Aldo.
Aldo wants to clinch up but Sakazuki keeps it at a distance.
Aldo doesn't manage to clinch there - Sakazuki circles away.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Aldo.
Aldo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sakazuki paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sakazuki gets a takedown into half guard.
Aldo is trying to stand up here but Sakazuki is controlling him well.

Aldo tries to kick Sakazuki off but Sakazuki keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Aldo is trying to escape back to his feet but Sakazuki uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Sakazuki remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Akainu Sakazuki.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sakazuki has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Aldo's body.

Sakazuki is cranking Aldo's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Aldo! He's tightened the choke and Aldo is tapping out!
