Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nilton Alaveri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent LaCroix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alaveri's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Controller - Howl. Vincent LaCroix is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alaveri takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Alaveri tries to close the distance and clinch up but LaCroix swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Alaveri closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Alaveri's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Alaveri looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Alaveri is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
A head punch on the inside from LaCroix fails to land.
Alaveri wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

LaCroix jumps into guard, dragging Alaveri to the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

LaCroix gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

LaCroix wants to stand but Alaveri is controlling the position.
LaCroix controls Alaveri momentarily but Alaveri frees himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Alaveri fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

LaCroix feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Nilton Alaveri will probably get the nod.
