Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Haworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaun Swagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haworth comes to the cage accompanied by Corey Hart - Sunglasses at Night. Swagger is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Amazing. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swagger throws a sloppy head kick and Haworth moves out of range easily.
Swagger throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Haworth's head.
It looks like Michael Haworth has been cut.
Haworth tries to clinch there but Swagger circles away.
Horrible takedown by Haworth or perhaps it was just good defense by Swagger which made him look bad.
Swagger throws a right hand that Haworth ducks under and follows up with a left that Haworth also avoids with ease.
Haworth fails to land the takedown.
Swagger clinches up against the cage.
Haworth is looking to break free of the clinch but Swagger has double underhooks.
Haworth stalling in the clinch but Swagger improves position.
Haworth drops down looking for an ankle pick but Swagger pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Swagger counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Swagger throws a right and a left that Haworth avoids nicely.
Haworth shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Haworth tries to stand but can't do so whilst Swagger controls his leg.
Swagger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haworth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Swagger makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Swagger.
Haworth is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haworth is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Swagger is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Haworth tries to free his leg and advance position but Swagger is retaining full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A head kick misses from Swagger.
Haworth gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Swagger counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Haworth is looking to control Swagger's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Haworth avoid being mounted?
Haworth makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Haworth.

Haworth escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Swagger gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Haworth avoids the head kick by Swagger.
Michael Haworth is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Swagger throws a series of punches but Haworth moves out of range.
Swagger is looking to clinch but Haworth is avoiding it.
Haworth shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Haworth showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Haworth stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Swagger is breathing heavily.

and Swagger counters with a nice double leg into side control. Haworth won't be happy with that.

Haworth is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Haworth is on top in guard.
Haworth is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Haworth forces his way into half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Michael Haworth.
Haworth gets the takedown into side control.
Haworth is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Swagger's shoulder. That is not cool.
Swagger takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Haworth decides to stand up, so the ref orders Swagger to his feet.
Haworth shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Swagger is trying to defend but Haworth finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Haworth gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Haworth shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Haworth was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
