Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Body (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ron Foster!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster throws a head kick but Body moves out of range.
Foster ducks under a wild hook from Body.
Body tries to clinch but Foster moves out of range.

Body shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Foster's guard.
Body looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Body looking to sit in guard and control but Foster gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Foster pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Body is keeping the position for now.

Foster sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Body's guard.
Body is trying to stand up here but Foster is controlling him well.
Body avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Foster.
Body is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Foster tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Body.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A head kick misses from Foster.

Body shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Body wants to lay and pray for a moment but Foster keeps working.

Body decides to stand and escape the position.

Body shoots in and bounces Foster off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Foster preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Foster is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Body is breathing heavily.
Foster wants to get back to striking at distance but Body won't allow it.
Foster tries to break free but Body pushes him back against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Foster throws a shot to the body.
Body takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Body misses with a double jab.
Foster scores with a shot to the body.
Foster tries a head kick but it misses.
Foster throws a head kick that half lands.
Foster throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Good leg kick by Foster there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Body tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Foster lands with a slapping head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Body drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Body tries to stand but Foster controls the position and pulls Body into his guard.

Foster pushes Body off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Foster looks to land a combination. Body sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Foster lands a slapping body shot.
Foster connects with a solid leg kick.
Joe Body is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Foster turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Foster plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Ron Foster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Foster lands a head kick. Body smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Foster has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Body walks into a left hand.
Foster fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Body.

Nice uppercut lands for Foster. That snapped Body's head back.

Foster will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Body wants to clinch up but Foster keeps it at a distance.
Foster connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Body wants to clinch.
Foster connects with a single shot there.
Foster lands a high kick!
Foster lunges at Body with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Body's hand.
Foster lands a nice looking kick to the body. Body takes a step back to recover.
Foster paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Foster counters with a big head kick but Body shrugs it off.
Body blocks a head kick by Foster.
Foster throws a right and a left that both miss.
Body on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Body gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Foster counters with an outside leg kick.
Foster throws a head kick but Body moves out of range.
A head kick by Body misses
and Foster counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Foster moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Foster lets loose with a powerful body kick. Body will feel that in the morning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Good leg kick by Body there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
An inside leg kick lands from Foster.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ron Foster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Foster lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Foster throws a right hand that Body ducks under and follows up with a left that Body also avoids with ease.
Body tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Foster paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Body shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Body was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Foster is squirming around, avoiding Body's attempts to control the action.
Body won't let Foster get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Body thowing shots but they're missing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Foster kicks off Body and gets to his feet.
Foster clobbers Body with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Foster scores with a nice strike.
Foster lands a nice shot that snaps Body's head back.
Foster lands a glancing blow to the side of Body's head.
Foster lands with an uppercut that bounces Body off the cage and back into rage.
A solid leg kick lands there for Foster.
Body is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Foster lands with a nice combination. Body backs away looking to recover.
Foster scores with a one two! Body had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

A left and a right from Foster both land. Nice combination.
Foster lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Foster lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Foster throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Body's head.
Body takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Foster fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Body on the side of the head.
Foster scores with a nice right hand.
Foster connects with a nice looking jab.
A nice inside leg kick there by Foster. That's going to slow Body down.

and Foster counters with a three punch combo that has Body backing up. Body nods at Foster to acknowledge the strikes.

Body blocks a head kick by Foster.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Body closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Body lands in his opponent's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ron Foster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Foster winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
