The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

enabling Jackson to counter with a crisp jab.
Jackson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Liddell swivels and escapes.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - Liddell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Jackson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Liddell misses with a series of wild punches.
Jackson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Liddell was well out of range. Poor timing from Jackson.

Liddell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jackson.

Liddell throws a hook to the side of Jackson's head but Jackson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Liddell looks to land a left hand but Jackson moved out of range nicely.

and Jackson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

letting Jackson counter with a right hand.
Liddell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Liddell sprawls well. Liddell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.

Jackson throws a right hand that Liddell ducks under and follows up with a left that Liddell also avoids with ease.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liddell but Liddell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jackson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

and Jackson counters with a series of strikes. Liddell will be more careful next time no doubt.

Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Liddell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.
Liddell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Liddell wants it to stay on the feet.

Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - Liddell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nice uppercut lands for Jackson. That snapped Liddell's head back.

Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Liddell circles away quickly and effectively.
Jackson thuds his right hand into Liddell's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Liddell is rocked!
Liddell walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Jackson swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Michael Jackson!
