Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hale Tommasson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gegard Sipowicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tommasson comes to the cage accompanied by Bitch Please 3. The crowd seem to be enjoying Sipowicz's choice of entrance music: Highway to Hell. Gegard Sipowicz told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sipowicz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sipowicz wants it to stay on the feet.
Sipowicz misses with a jab, cross combination.

Tommasson shoots in and gets a takedown into Sipowicz's guard.
Tommasson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sipowicz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tommasson postures up and lands a big shot to Sipowicz's brow.
Sipowicz wants to get back to his feet but Tommasson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Sipowicz keeping moving, preventing Tommasson from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tommasson stays in close to Sipowicz's body and controls the position.
Tommasson wants to control from the top but Sipowicz keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hale Tommasson.

Tommasson forces Sipowicz back against the cage and clinches.
Tommasson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sipowicz backwards.
Tommasson presses Sipowicz against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
A frustrated look appears on Sipowicz's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Tommasson throws a lazy right hand but Sipowicz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sipowicz throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tommasson takes a swing at Sipowicz's ribcage but misses.
No joy there for Sipowicz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tommasson ducks under a wild hook from Sipowicz.
Tommasson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Gegard Sipowicz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nice defenses there by Tommasson.
Sipowicz throws a nice looking combination but Tommasson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tommasson looks for the body kick but Sipowicz saw that one coming.
Sipowicz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tommasson scores with a hook.
Tommasson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sipowicz looks gassed!
A jab from Tommasson finds it's way through Sipowicz's defenses.
A combination from Sipowicz does no damage.

Tommasson darts in and clinches Sipowicz up against the cage.
Sipowicz is trying to push Tommasson away but Tommasson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Tommasson tries for a takedown but Sipowicz manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hale Tommasson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
