Gracie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is A Day to Remember - . Tota Gracie has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt.
Gracie avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gracie looks for a takedown but Mcgrath sprawls well.
Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mcgrath avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tota Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie looks to land a left hand but Mcgrath moved out of range nicely.

Gracie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mcgrath's guard.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Mcgrath keeps moving.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but Mcgrath is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.
Mcgrath is trying to stand up here but Gracie is controlling him well.

Gracie moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mcgrath has worked his arm free - good work by Mcgrath!
Mcgrath is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gracie has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gracie prevents Mcgrath from escaping the position.

Gracie has hold of Mcgrath's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mcgrath tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Mcgrath screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mcgrath, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
