Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Azz Fixiation (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Malimban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malimban has chosen Submarine by Andrew E. as his entrance music. Jonathan Malimban will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fixiation feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Malimban escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fixiation gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fixiation passes Malimban's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Fixiation is thwarting Malimban's attempts to control the position.

Malimban is defending against the submission attempts here by Fixiation.

Fixiation is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Malimban defends it well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fixiation is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Malimban is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Malimban has escaped and now he's on top!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Malimban throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fixiation.

Fixiation has gone for a leg lock! Malimban slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fixiation's guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Fixiation throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Malimban's waist but Malimban gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fixiation off to one side.
A jab from Malimban does it's job there.

It looks like Azz Fixiation has been cut.
Fixiation could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Malimban doesn't succeed with the takedown

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Malimban makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Malimban.

Fixiation has his foot on Malimban's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Malimban works his way back into a safe position though.
