DeSouza comes to the cage accompanied by freedom. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lecter moves into range and clinches up with DeSouza.

DeSouza takes an elbow to the forehead.

It looks like Doug DeSouza has been cut.
Lecter looking to throw knees to the head but DeSouza is blocking nicely.

DeSouza jumps guard but Lecter stands there with DeSouza around his waist. DeSouza gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lecter misses with a knee to the head.
A left hand lands to the body for DeSouza.
DeSouza drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lecter gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lecter looking to throw knees to the head but DeSouza is blocking nicely.
DeSouza wants to get back to striking at distance but Lecter won't allow it.

With the fighters up against the cage, Lecter throws an elbow but misses.

Lecter tries to land a knee to the head but DeSouza blocks with his arms.
DeSouza misses with some punches.

DeSouza decides to pull guard.
Lecter wanted to stand there but DeSouza had control of the position.
DeSouza is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lecter stands up and waves to DeSouza to follow him.

and DeSouza counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
DeSouza misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lecter tries to clinch up
letting DeSouza counter with a right hand.
Lecter takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lecter tries to clinch but DeSouza is having none of it.
Lecter wants to slow DeSouza down by chopping away at his legs.
DeSouza keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

DeSouza doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lecter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lecter.

DeSouza looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lecter is one step ahead there.

Lecter is sitting in close to DeSouza's body. DeSouza has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Lecter is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Lecter is tapping! That was a very nice submission by DeSouza.
