Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elliot Ness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Disturbed - Indestructible. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ness throws a body punch but James moves out of range.
Ness avoids the head kick by James.
A solid leg kick lands there for James.
Ness pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
James misses with a body shot.
Nice body kick from Ness.
James takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ness lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Kevin James has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ness drops James with a beautiful combination! James stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ness is looking for the KO!
James uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ness.
James tests Ness's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ness throws an overhand right that lands on James's shoulder, as James tries to avoid the shot.
Ness misses with a shot to the body
and James counters with a leg kick.
James will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ness throws a head punch that misses.
James trying to stall but Ness improves his position.
Ness lands a hook that snaps the head of James backwards.
James looks gassed!
Ness misses with a knee strike.
Ness pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
James lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ness backwards.
James scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Ness missing with knees to the body.

James blocks an elbow strike.
Ness creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through James's defenses.

That has opened up Kevin James's cut even more.
Ness throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jamess head.
Ness using the Thai plumb to throw knees but James has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Ness with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Ness creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Ness comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

The cut above Kevin James's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
James presses Ness against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Ness throws an elbow that misses.
James is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Ness pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
James throws a lazy right hand but Ness sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ness goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
James lands a slapping body shot.
James connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ness takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
James walks into a straight right hand from Ness.
James throws a jab but it's blocked by Ness.
Ness tries to land a front kick but James steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
James throws out a loose jab but Ness uses good head movement to avoid it.
James looks to score with a jab to the body but Ness is just out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
James ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ness moves away.
James looks to throw the jab but Ness is out of range.
James throws a head kick that misses.
Ness uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from James.
James avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ness, right into the meat.
Ness scores with a hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ness.
Ness clobbers James with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Kevin James's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
A left and a right from Ness both land. Nice combination.
Ness lands a jab to James's midsection.
No joy there for Ness, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Ness.
Ness throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and James counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ness uses good head movement to avoid the hook from James.
Ness misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from James.
Ness cracks the inside of James's front leg.
Ness changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. James tries to avoid it but Ness manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James to the ground. James escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ness misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
James swats away the attempt to clinch by Ness.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ness throws a series of punches but James moves out of range.
Ness stalks James and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into James's face. James staggers backwards, shaken.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kevin James's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
