PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rory Duckkyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and el giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duckkyson comes into the arena with Eye of the tiger blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duckkyson closes the distance and clinches.
giant looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Duckkyson is pushing giant up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

giant wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Duckkyson has him pressed against the cage.
giant tries to pull guard but Duckkyson holds him up against the cage and eventually giant drops back down to his feet.

Duckkyson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Duckkyson instigates a clinch.
Duckkyson lands a nice knee to the body.

Duckkyson is trying to trip giant. He has hold of a leg but giant is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Duckkyson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Duckkyson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Duckkyson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Duckkyson is working giant over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
giant can't keep his opponent in guard - Duckkyson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Duckkyson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Duckkyson uses his free foot to push down on giant's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for giant.
The referee warns giant that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Duckkyson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! giant is forced to tap! Great finish!
