The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lieu scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Murphy Mcdonald has been cut.
Mcdonald looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mcdonald shoots in looking for a takedown. Lieu tries to sprawl out of it but Mcdonald keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lieu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lieu, as that shot connected.
Lieu goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mcdonald needs to keep his hands up - Lieu had a free shot at his head there.
Lieu lands a left and a right that send Mcdonald crashing to the mat, dazed. Lieu thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Mcdonald is rocked!
Lieu scores with a body shot.
Mcdonald is still on wobbly legs! Can Lieu finish him?
Lieu lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Mcdonald falls backwards - clearly groggy! Lieu dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Janos Lieu!
