Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Arnould (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, rap das armas. Ray Lewis had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 266.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arnould fails with the takedown.
Ray Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Arnould looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lewis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Arnould sprawls well initially but Lewis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lewis wants to pass the guard but Arnould is defending well.
Lewis is controlling the pace.

Lewis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Arnould is just riding it out for now. Lewis eventually gives up the hold.

Lewis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Arnould sees it coming and defends easily.

Arnould is trying to stand.
Arnould wants to control but Lewis is keeping busy.
Lewis is pressing down on Arnould's thigh, looking to free his foot. Arnould is holding on for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Arnould shoots and misses

and Lewis counters with a takedown into side control.
Lewis is breathing heavily.
Lewis working away.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
You can see the frustration on Arnould's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lewis remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Lewis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Arnould is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Arnould wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Arnould should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Lewis has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Lewis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Arnould connects with a crisp jab.
Arnould with a poor takedown

and Lewis counters by clinching up.
Ray Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kane Arnould.

Arnould pulls guard effortlessly.

Lewis is looking to stand up but Arnould won't let him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewis drops back looking for a leg! Arnould is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arnould manages to kick Lewis off! Lewis jumps back into Arnould's guard.

Lewis has gone for a leg lock! Arnould slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lewis's guard.

Arnould wanted to stand there but Lewis had control of the position.

Arnould got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lewis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arnould has managed to get both his arms back between Lewis's legs - danger averted.
Arnould is looking to stand up but Lewis won't let him.
Lewis pulls Arnould in close to his closed guard and prevents Arnould from doing any damage or advancing position.
Lewis controls Arnould momentarily but Arnould frees himself.

Lewis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Arnould gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnould has a takedown stuffed.
Lewis misses with a wild body shot.
Arnould tries to close the distance and clinch but Lewis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Arnould fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Arnould blocks the body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lewis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Arnould's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Arnould is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Arnould is trying to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lewis controls the position.

Lewis has an Americana. Arnould didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Lewis is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Lewis hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
