The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Silva jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Silva misses with a body shot.

Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Garcia changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Silva closes the distance and pushes Garcia back into the cage.
Silva landing knees to the head.
Garcia is looking to control Silva's arms but Silva gets an underhook and turns him. Now Garcia has his back to the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Silva - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Silva continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Garcia goes for a takedown in the clinch but Silva prevents it.

Silva throws a series of strikes that have Garcia backpedaling.
Silva lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Garcia backs up against the cage.
Garcia takes a kick to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva lands a big head kick that sends Garcia tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves Garcia back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Silva - that will leave a mark!
Garcia is breathing heavily.
Garcia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Garcia somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raul Garcia. That's going to take a lot out of him.
