Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marlon Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Kirkorvich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chambers comes to the ring accompanied by I'm A Souljah. Kirkorvich is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Russian Anthem. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marlon Chambers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vlad Kirkorvich!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kirkorvich shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kirkorvich showed some decent athleticism there.
Chambers is trying to maintain the position but Kirkorvich is very close to passing his half guard.

Kirkorvich is looking for a kimura here.
Chambers wants to get back to full guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Chambers manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Chambers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Chambers is stalling here. Kirkorvich is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Chambers seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kirkorvich has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chambers tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kirkorvich wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Chambers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kirkorvich doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kirkorvich manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kirkorvich wants to control but Chambers is keeping him busy.

Chambers is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kirkorvich pulls his head out easily.

Kirkorvich is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chambers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kirkorvich.

A close round but Vlad Kirkorvich will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Kirkorvich gets caught flat footed, as Chambers shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kirkorvich is looking for a triangle but Chambers pushes his legs off easily.

Chambers drops back looking for a leg! Kirkorvich is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kirkorvich manages to kick Chambers off! Chambers jumps back into Kirkorvich's guard.

Chambers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kirkorvich swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chambers is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kirkorvich is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kirkorvich has escaped and now he's on top!

Kirkorvich drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chambers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chambers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chambers!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kirkorvich sneaks back into half guard.
Chambers is trying to control the action in half guard but Kirkorvich is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Chambers takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Chambers shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kirkorvich's guard.
Kirkorvich wants to sweep but no luck.
Chambers sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kirkorvich's guard.

Chambers is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kirkorvich is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Chambers wants to take a breather but Kirkorvich manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Chambers.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chambers with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kirkorvich tries to lock up and control but Chambers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Well Chambers has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
