Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chief Larkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaac Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Isaac Walsh will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Larkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isaac Walsh!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larkin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Walsh feints and as Larkin raises his hands in defense, Walsh changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Walsh trying to control but Larkin is working from the bottom.

Larkin has his foot on Walsh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Walsh works his way back into a safe position though.
Larkin controls Walsh momentarily but Walsh frees himself.

Larkin manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Larkin throws a sloppy head kick and Walsh moves out of range easily.
Larkin doesn't manage to clinch there - Walsh circles away.
Larkin wants to clinch up but Walsh keeps it at a distance.
Larkin tries to close the distance and clinch but Walsh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Larkin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Walsh throws a lazy head kick

and Larkin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Larkin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Walsh is just riding it out for now. Larkin eventually gives up the hold.

Larkin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Walsh doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Larkin.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Walsh uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Larkin tries to clinch up but Walsh circles away and keeps his distance.

Walsh throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Larkin stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Walsh follows into mount!


Larkin is rocked!


It looks like Chief Larkin has been cut.
Walsh content just to control the position here.
Oh Larkin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Walsh looking to secure an arm triangle but Larkin defends it well.
Larkin is working to get back to half guard.
Larkin seems to have got his legs back now.

Walsh has hold of Larkin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Larkin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Larkin is looking to improve his position but Walsh isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walsh is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Larkin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Larkin!
Larkin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walsh swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Walsh is striking from the bottom but Larkin uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Walsh manages to get to full guard.
Larkin throws a big right hand that misses.
Larkin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Walsh's head.
Walsh wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Larkin is now in half guard.
Larkin wants to free his trapped foot but Walsh is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Walsh is refusing to be controlled, as Larkin sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walsh is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walsh is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Larkin wants to control but Walsh is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Larkin kicks Walsh off and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walsh has his takedown stuffed
and Larkin counters with a left and a right that stings Walsh.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Horrible takedown by Walsh or perhaps it was just good defense by Larkin which made him look bad.

Larkin moves in looking to clinch but Walsh pushes him off.

Walsh tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Walsh has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chief Larkin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
