Ruas's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. Aldo Alpha is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ruas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Ruas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alpha.
Ruas tries to clinch up.
Ruas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Alpha.
Alpha misses with a series of wild punches.
Alpha throws a series of punches but Ruas moves out of range.
Alpha uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ruas.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ruas throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ruas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alpha moves away.

Alpha takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Alpha throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ruas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Alpha.
Alpha keeps the fight on the outside.

and Alpha counters with a three punch combo that has Ruas backing up. Ruas nods at Alpha to acknowledge the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alpha tries a body shot but Ruas blocks it.

A short body shot lands from Alpha as the two fighters clinch.
Oh Ruas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alpha dips a shoulder and cracks Ruas with a mighty uppercut! Ruas falls back against the cage and Alpha unloads with a barrage of strikes! Ruas is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Alpha screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aldo Alpha!
