Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Bulldog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martell Hennessey!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hennessey rushes Bulldog and presses him up against the cage.
Bulldog could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hennessey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hennessey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hennessey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hennessey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hennessey wants it to stay on the feet.

Hennessey pushes Bulldog up against the cage in a clinch.

Hennessey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hennessey tries to clinch but Bulldog is having none of it.

Bulldog tries to keep at a distance but Hennessey has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bulldog tries to pull guard but Hennessey holds him up against the cage and eventually Bulldog drops back down to his feet.
Bulldog fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Bulldog. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stalling in the clinch from Hennessey.
Bulldog jumps guard but Hennessey stands there with Bulldog around his waist. Bulldog gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hennessey lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bulldog backwards.

Hennessey breaks from the clinch.

Hennessey closes the distance and clinches.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Hennessey.
Bulldog can't get the takedown.
Bulldog fails to pull guard.

Hennessey lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Bulldog.

Hennessey fails in his attempt to clinch.

Hennessey has Bulldog up against the cage in a clinch.
Hennessey lands with a short head shot on the inside.


It looks like Jeff Bulldog has been cut.
Bulldog goes for a takedown attempt but Hennessey pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hennessey throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martell Hennessey dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Hennessey throws a nice looking combination but Bulldog bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hennessey rushes Bulldog and presses him up against the cage.
Bulldog goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hennessey prevents it.

Hennessey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hennessey is looking to clinch but Bulldog is avoiding it.
Hennessey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hennessey swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hennessey throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hennessey works over Bulldog's head and body with a nice combination.
Hennessey fails to land with a series of punches.

Hennessey has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bulldog jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hennessey walks away with a smile on his face. Bulldog gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hennessey misses with a few strikes there.

Hennessey drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hennessey postures up.
Hennessey controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bulldog is trying to keep Hennessey in close.
Bulldog looking to control but Hennessey passes into half guard.
Hennessey performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Bulldog is not content to let Hennessey control the position.

Bulldog is trying to stand up here but Hennessey is controlling him well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bulldog trying to hold on to Hennessey's head to control him but Hennessey postures up.

Hennessey decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Bulldog avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bulldog avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hennessey misses with a wild combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martell Hennessey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Hennessey fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jeff Bulldog has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hennessey closes the distance and clinches.

Hennessey jumps into guard, dragging Bulldog to the mat.
Bulldog working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Bulldog postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hennessey is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bulldog, into his guard.
Martell Hennessey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bulldog is looking for a triangle but Hennessey pushes his legs off easily.
Bulldog might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bulldog keeping full guard, as Hennessey tries to pass.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bulldog throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hennessey escapes and throws Bulldog's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Hennessey gets to mount! Bulldog was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Hennessey content just to control the position here.
Bulldog looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Hennessey has good solid back control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bulldog tries to break free.

And that's the end of the fight!
Martell Hennessey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hennessey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
