Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Azevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Azevedo comes to the cage accompanied by Infinity. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlie Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ramirez closes the distance and pushes Azevedo back into the cage.
Ramirez has a couple of punches blocked by Azevedo.
Ramirez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Azevedo.
Ramirez lands a hook that snaps the head of Azevedo backwards.

Ramirez tries to circle away but Azevedo has him pinned against the cage.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ramirez connects with a nice short shot to Azevedo's temple.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Azevedo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ramirez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Azevedo shoots in for a takedown but Ramirez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Charlie Ramirez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
