Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gay Al!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Lennon!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Al tries to clinch but Lennon is having none of it.
Al swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Al attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Lennon throws a head kick that misses.
Lennon blocks a low kick nicely.
Al misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Al lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lennon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lennon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Al scores with a shot to the body.
Al misses the shot to the body.
Lennon lands a jab-cross combination.
Al goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Lennon just misses with a punch to the body.
Al throws and low kick but Lennon moves out of range easily.
Lennon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Al doesn't seem bothered though.
Al motions for Lennon to come forward. Al throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lennon lands a left and a right that send Al crashing to the mat, dazed. Lennon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Al motions for Lennon to come forward. Al throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Al throws a head kick but Lennon moves out of range.
Al throws a front kick aimed at Lennon's knee but Lennon avoids it well.
Lennon lands a big right hand that sends Al crashing to the mat! Lennon stays standing though and waves Al back to his feet!
Al is rocked!
Al fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lennon checks it well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Al takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Al is breathing heavily.
Lennon cracks Al with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lennon has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Al to stand back up!
Oh Al is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lennon connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Al to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Lennon!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Lennon!
