Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Carter!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Carter throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cowen slips a jab from Carter.
Carter throws a shot from downtown. Cowen moves away and avoids it.
Carter misses with a two punch combination.
Carter throws an overhand right that lands on Cowen's shoulder, as Cowen tries to avoid the shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target.
Carter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cowen.
Cowen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cowen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Carter throws a lazy right hand but Cowen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shane Carter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Cowen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Carter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cowen walks away with a smile on his face. Carter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Cowen looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
