Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frenchy Fuqua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Puncho Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fuqua might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Diesal Power. Pound has chosen American Bad Ass as his entrance music. The key to victory for Frenchy Fuqua has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pound avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Fuqua tries to clinch but Pound is having none of it.
Frenchy Fuqua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice jab there from Fuqua.

It looks like Puncho Pound has been cut.
Fuqua lands with a nice combination. Pound backs away looking to recover.
Pound loads up on a big right hand but Fuqua slips the punch.
Fuqua misses with an uppercut.
Pound fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

A jab-cross combination lands for Fuqua and sends Pound crashing to the mat! Fuqua follows him down to the mat - Pound regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Pound is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pound is trying to stand up here but Fuqua is controlling him well.

Pound has one foot on Fuqua's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Pound moves out of range as Fuqua strikes.

Pound shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fuqua as he jumps to the side.
Pound takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

That has opened up Puncho Pound's cut even more.
Pound slips a jab and a cross from Fuqua.
Pound is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The cut above Puncho Pound's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Pound shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fuqua napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fuqua is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pound's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Pound thows a huge punch but Fuqua dodges it nicely.

Pound is looking for a kimura but Fuqua is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pound to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fuqua works his way to full guard. Good work.

Fuqua looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Fuqua is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pound defends well.

Fuqua is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Pound missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pound keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fuqua's head.
Fuqua will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pound is working Fuqua over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Pound must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fuqua escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pound gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fuqua is not content to let Pound control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Puncho Pound's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Puncho Pound's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
