Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joao do Santo Cristo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Sopranos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sopranos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but do Santo Cristo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

do Santo Cristo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Sopranos dodges the ground and pound from do Santo Cristo.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
do Santo Cristo wants to control but Sopranos is keeping him busy.
Sopranos is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Sopranos is working to avoid the ground and pound but do Santo Cristo connects with a decent elbow.

Sopranos pushes do Santo Cristo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, do Santo Cristo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
do Santo Cristo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sopranos looks gassed!
do Santo Cristo throws a strike aimed at the side of Sopranos's head but Sopranos avoids it well.

Sopranos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with do Santo Cristo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
do Santo Cristo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sopranos's shoulder. That is not cool.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ground and pound from do Santo Cristo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
do Santo Cristo connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sopranos some visible discomfort.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

do Santo Cristo uses his free foot to push down on Sopranos's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sopranos.
do Santo Cristo throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Sopranos is in a horrible position here. do Santo Cristo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

do Santo Cristo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sopranos sprawls well. Sopranos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. do Santo Cristo gets slowly back to his feet.

do Santo Cristo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sopranos sprawls well initially but do Santo Cristo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Sopranos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for do Santo Cristo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
