The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
van Bruggen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Macey but Macey pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Macey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in van Bruggen's guard.

Macey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. van Bruggen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Macey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Macey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

van Bruggen is pressing down on Macey's thigh, looking to free his foot. Macey is holding on for now.
Macey has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. van Bruggen is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
