The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mboweni throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Walters scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Mboweni looks gassed!
Mboweni on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Walters lands a big head kick that sends Mboweni tumbling to the mat! Walters takes a step backwards and waves Mboweni back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Walters throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Walters lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mboweni's sensitive parts.

Mboweni has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Walters.

Walters thows a body kick. Mboweni tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Walters lands with a kick to the temple. Mboweni shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
This has been an exciting period of action!
Walters cracks the inside of Mboweni's front leg.
Walters throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mboweni.
Walters throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mboweni's head.
A chopping leg kick lands by Walters.
Crunch! Walters slams his shin into Mboweni's torso.
Walters lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice body kick there by Walters.
Mboweni takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Walters thumps Mboweni with a low kick.
Walters bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Mboweni tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Walters goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Mboweni steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Walters. That one must have hurt.
Mboweni takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Walters throws a head kick that half lands.

The cut above Doctor Mboweni's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Walters throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mboweni crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Walters - the referee stops the clock and Mboweni gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Walters. Mboweni manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Mboweni takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Mboweni throws a right hand that Walters ducks under and follows up with a left that Walters also avoids with ease.
Walters goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Doctor Mboweni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walters moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Walters.

Mboweni's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Walters throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mboweni.

Walters explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Mboweni steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Walters. That one must have hurt.
Mboweni stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Walters.
Walters thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Mboweni if he has to take too many more of those.

Doctor Mboweni's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mboweni looks to score with a jab to the body but Walters is just out of range.
Walters throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Walters dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mboweni. That did some damage!
