And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Melvin Glasschin!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glasschin stuffs the takedown.
Albuquerque is looking to clinch but Glasschin is avoiding it.

Glasschin is looking to take a break and control but Albuquerque is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Albuquerque looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Glasschin has picked Albuquerque up and slammed him! Albuquerque can't keep hold of the triangle and Glasschin manages to pass to side control!

Albuquerque closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Albuquerque lands in his opponent's guard.

Glasschin pulls Albuquerque in close to his closed guard and prevents Albuquerque from doing any damage or advancing position.

Glasschin has his feet on Albuquerque's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Glasschin counters with a two punch combo.

Glasschin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Glasschin gets caught flat footed, as Albuquerque shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Glasschin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Albuquerque gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Melvin Glasschin dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Glasschin counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Melvin Glasschin has got the better of the ground game so far.
Albuquerque wants to sweep here but Glasschin controlling him for the moment.
Albuquerque bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Glasschin's guard.

Albuquerque stands and steps away. Glasschin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Albuquerque has his takedown stuffed

and Glasschin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Albuquerque's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Albuquerque is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Glasschin has his hands clasped together but Albuquerque extends an breaks Glasschin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Albuquerque.
