Layfield misses with a few strikes there.
King avoids the body shot from Layfield.
Layfield wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
King shoots in but no luck this time.
King has a takedown stuffed.
Layfield cracks King with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Wayne King has been cut.
King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Layfield sprawls well. Layfield wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet.
John Layfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wayne King.
King shoots for a double leg takedown but Layfield sprawls well. He's pushed King's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Layfield fakes high and swings low for a body shot but King manages to avoid it.

Layfield feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends King sprawling to the canvas! King rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Layfield finish him?!
King is rocked!
Layfield ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with King's jaw. King's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Layfield does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
