The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubberboot avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
AbbottSlice chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rubberboot can pounce on him.
Rubberboot throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Rubberboot swats away the attempt to clinch by AbbottSlice.
AbbottSlice misses with an uppercut.
Kimbo AbbottSlice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
AbbottSlice misses with a straight left.
Rubberboot tries to bum rush AbbottSlice with a series of wild strikes but AbbottSlice uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

AbbottSlice throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
AbbottSlice misses with a hook to the body
and Rubberboot counters with a series of strikes. AbbottSlice will be more careful next time no doubt.

Rubberboot uses his free foot to push down on AbbottSlice's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for AbbottSlice.
