Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rellik Amaso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rellik Amaso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Francisco Santos!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Amaso to the mat! Amaso manages to get full guard.
Santos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Santos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Santos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Santos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Santos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Amaso is keeping the position for now.
Santos not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Santos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Santos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Amaso looking for a sweep. Not yet Amaso, not yet.
Santos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Santos tries to free his leg and advance position but Amaso is retaining full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Santos chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Amaso can pounce on him.
Santos looks gassed!
Amaso is looking to clinch but Santos is avoiding it.
Santos avoids the head kick by Amaso.
Rellik Amaso is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Amaso throws a nice inside leg kick.
Amaso misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Amaso.
Amaso throws a sloppy head kick and Santos moves out of range easily.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Amaso.
Amaso misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Amaso lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Amaso with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Amaso throws a leg kick but Santos checks it.
Santos shoots for a double leg takedown but Amaso sprawls well. He's pushed Santos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Amaso throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Amaso does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A solid leg kick lands there for Amaso.
Amaso cracks the inside of Santos's front leg.
Santos takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Amaso throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Santos avoids the head kick by Amaso.

Amaso pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Amaso tries to land a leg kick but Santos saw it coming and moves away.
Santos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Amaso throws a sloppy head kick and Santos moves out of range easily.
Amaso misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Amaso lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Santos avoids the head kick by Amaso.
Santos's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amaso throws a head kick but Santos moves out of range.
Santos is breathing heavily.
Amaso avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Santos checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Santos looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Amaso!
Santos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Santos goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Amaso turns into him and now he's in Santos's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Amaso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santos swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Santos looking for a sweep. Not yet Santos, not yet.
Amaso wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.
Santos wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Santos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Amaso trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Santos fails with an attempt to clinch.
Santos takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Amaso throws a head kick but Santos moves out of range.
Amaso tries a head kick but it misses.
Santos doesn't manage to clinch there - Amaso circles away.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amaso displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Santos.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rellik Amaso will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


An inside leg kick lands from Amaso.
Amaso feints and then cracks Santos's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Santos down.
Santos wants to clinch.

Santos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Santos is trying to control the action in half guard but Amaso is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Santos seems to be working for a kimura but Amaso defends the submission attempt.
Amaso is looking to improve his position.
Santos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Santos seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Santos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amaso keeps working.
Amaso is looking to control Santos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Amaso avoid being mounted?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Santos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Amaso tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Amaso closes the distance and clinches.
Amaso taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Santos is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Amaso pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Amaso displaying some good clinch control by pressing Santos up against the cage.

Amaso gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Amaso is trying to stall.
Santos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Amaso walks away with a smile on his face. Santos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Amaso dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Santos. That did some damage!

Amaso fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Santos.
Santos avoids the head kick by Amaso.
Rellik Amaso is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Santos takes a kick to the side of the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Amaso goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Amaso scores with a spinning back kick!
Rellik Amaso is winning the standup battle so far.
Santos shoots in looking for a takedown. Amaso tries to sprawl out of it but Santos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Amaso manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rellik Amaso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francisco Santos.
Amaso tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Francisco Santos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Santos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rellik Amaso showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Amaso, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
