Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anton Skywalker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anton Skywalker has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anton Skywalker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Thor!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skywalker throws a sloppy head kick and Thor moves out of range easily.
Skywalker thows a body kick. Thor tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Skywalker looks to land a body kick but Thor moved away.
Skywalker throws a right and a left that Thor avoids nicely.
Thor fails with a takedown attempt.

Skywalker shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Skywalker is trying to control the action in half guard but Thor is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Skywalker slips a nice elbow through Thor's hands, connecting with Thor's forehead.
Skywalker keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Skywalker passes the guard and advances to mount!
Skywalker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Thor is looking to escape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Skywalker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Thor is in all sorts of trouble here.

It looks like James Thor has been cut.

Skywalker blocks Thor's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Skywalker tries to control but Thor wriggling away.

Skywalker moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Thor has worked his arm free - good work by Thor!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Anton Skywalker.
Skywalker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Skywalker throws a nice looking combination but Thor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Skywalker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Skywalker lands a jab-cross combination.
Skywalker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


That has opened up James Thor's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Thor counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Thor.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Skywalker is on top in guard.
Skywalker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Thor shoots and misses
and Skywalker counters with a head kick. That will keep Thor thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Skywalker counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Thor is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Skywalker tries to clinch up but Thor circles away and keeps his distance.
Skywalker works over Thor's head and body with a nice combination.
Thor tries to move into range but Skywalker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


The cut above James Thor's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Thor takes a kick to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A nice inside leg kick there by Skywalker. That's going to slow Thor down.
Skywalker doesn't manage to clinch there - Thor circles away.

Skywalker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Skywalker wants to pass to mount but Thor is defending the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ground and pound from Skywalker.
Skywalker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thor keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A head kick misses from Skywalker.

Skywalker throws a head kick but Thor moves out of range.

Skywalker misses with a double jab.

Thor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Thor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Skywalker can't escape the position.
Skywalker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Thor with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Skywalker is desperately trying to improve his position but Thor has a good base and remains in mount.

Skywalker is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Skywalker keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Thor goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Skywalker is on top in guard.
Skywalker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


A left and a right from Skywalker both land. Nice combination.
Skywalker misses with a few strikes there.
Thor with a lazy takedown attempt
and Skywalker counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Skywalker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Thor's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Thor's back!

Skywalker is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Thor knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Thor for a finish.

Skywalker throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Skywalker thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Thor is trying to break free.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Skywalker is not going to allow Thor to sit and survive in this position.
Skywalker keeps control of the position as Thor tries to break free.
James Thor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Skywalker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
