Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charles Olivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Pinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olivera throws a head kick that misses.

Pinto scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Pinto must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

and Pinto counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Olivera's guard now.
Pinto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's time! Olivera's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Olivera manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pinto takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Olivera is in a horrible position here. Pinto smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pinto takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Olivera tries to hold on but Pinto pushes him away.

Jose Pinto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Pinto feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pinto shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Olivera's guard.

Pinto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Olivera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pinto has managed to get both his arms back between Olivera's legs - danger averted.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Pinto is landing with some decent strikes but Olivera is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Charles Olivera has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jose Pinto is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jose Pinto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pinto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
