Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Erick Bryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Muscle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Muscle is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Erick Bryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Max Muscle!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bryan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Muscle looking to control.
Muscle wants to stand but Bryan is controlling the position.
Muscle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bryan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Muscle swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Muscle controls Bryan momentarily but Bryan frees himself.
Bryan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Bryan postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bryan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Muscle tries to land a front kick but Bryan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Muscle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bryan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bryan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Muscle tries to lock up and control but Bryan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bryan fails to advance to Muscle's back.
Muscle in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Muscle is wriggling around trying to escape.
Muscle wants to hold on but Bryan pushes him away.
Muscle reaches up to try and control the position but Bryan seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Muscle rolls and tries to escape and now Bryan has his back!
Muscle covers up after that shot from Bryan.
Muscle is really stuck here.
Muscle is trying to stand back up.
Bryan throwing damaging strikes from the back! Muscle could be in trouble here!

That has opened up Max Muscle's cut even more.
Muscle looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bryan slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Bryan has the hooks in. Muscle is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Muscle is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bryan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Bryan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Muscle trying to control the position but Bryan manages to sink in the hooks.

Bryan is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Muscle is defending well though. Bryan let's go of the attempt for now.
Muscle wants to escape the position.
Bryan has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Muscle's body.
Muscle is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Max Muscle's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!

Muscle throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Bryan blocks a head kick by Muscle.

Bryan feints and as Muscle raises his hands in defense, Bryan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Muscle is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bryan controls from within his opponent's guard.
Muscle tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bryan won't allow Muscle to get back to his feet.
Bryan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Muscle isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bryan stacks Muscle on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bryan!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bryan has an Americana. Muscle didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bryan is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bryan hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
