Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Azubuike Bongani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Emi Kay!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kay gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bongani to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bongani seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kay had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bongani defends it easily.

Bongani got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kay has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bongani has managed to get both his arms back between Kay's legs - danger averted.

Kay is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bongani is looking to stand up but Kay won't let him.

Bongani knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kay on the ground.

Bongani is pressing down on Kay's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kay is holding on for now.

Kay has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Bongani escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Bongani!
Bongani is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kay will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Bongani tries to close the distance and clinch but Kay swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kay stuffs the takedown attempt from Bongani. Bongani gets slowly back to his feet.
Bongani catches Kay with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bongani counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bongani stays in close to Kay's body and controls the position.

Kay looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Bongani wants to control from the top but Kay keeps moving.

Kay looking for a guillotine here but Bongani defends easily.
Bongani trying to control but Kay is working from the bottom.

Kay looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bongani lands a couple of digs.

Kay is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bongani defends well.
Bongani wants to pass the guard but Kay is keeping the position.

Bongani postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Kay throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bongani uses it to pass to side control.
Kay is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bongani is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Kay is trying desperately to improve position.
Bongani lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Azubuike Bongani overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kay is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bongani controlling his opponent.

Bongani lands with some strikes.
Kay is wriggling around trying to escape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bongani landing punches.
Kay is looking to improve his position but Bongani isn't that keen on the idea.

Bongani is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Bongani is looking to clinch.

Bongani shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bongani was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kay tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bongani controlling his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Azubuike Bongani dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Bongani counters with a shoot takedown. Kay fights it but they end up in guard.

Bongani slips a nice elbow through Kay's hands, connecting with Kay's forehead.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bongani keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
