Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cassidy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
ferais looking to pass into half guard but Cassidy pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Cassidy is in guard.
Cassidy tries to free his leg and advance position but fera is retaining full guard.
Cassidy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Cassidy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, fera has escaped the position, nice work there.
fera sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cassidy tries to pass to full mount but fera defends it.

Cassidy stands up from half guard.
Cassidy circles away from the clinch attempt.

fera throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

fera shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Cassidy tries to reverse the position but fera maintains control.
fera wants to get back to his feet but Cassidy is holding on tight.
Cassidy tries to hold on but fera postures up.
Cassidy is looking to get to half guard.
Cassidy wants to control but fera is having none of it.

fera controlling from mount.
Cassidy is desperately trying to improve his position but fera has a good base and remains in mount.

fera throws a sloppy strike and Cassidy uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Cassidy has ended up in fera's guard.

Cassidy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cassidy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
fera keeping full guard, as Cassidy tries to pass.
Cassidy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
fera is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

fera steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cassidy.

fera shoots in and drives through. Cassidy sprawls well.
Cassidy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and fera decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cassidy's guard.
fera looks gassed!
Cassidy trying to keep a closed guard but fera is proving a slippery customer.
Cassidy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Cassidy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but fera sees it coming and defends easily.
fera is looking for a sweep. Cassidy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
fera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cassidy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cassidy in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. fera tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Cassidy!
