The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
lake throws a sloppy head kick and Swift moves out of range easily.
lake shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Swift defends it nicely.
lake throws a nice looking combination but Swift bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Swift throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Swift.
lake manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Swift is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Swift misses with a takedown

and lake counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Swift has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

lake drops back, looking for a kneebar! Swift looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Swift looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Swift!
