Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Marceau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Severn has chosen White Zombie - Electric Head: The Extasy (Pt 2) as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marceau connects with a solid leg kick.
Marceau explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Marceau checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Severn stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Marceau.

Severn throws a nice looking combination but Marceau bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Severn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Marceau lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Marceau does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Severn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marceau sprawls well initially but Severn persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Severn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marceau. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marceau tries to land a sweep but no joy.
