Gersham has chosen Scorpions - Rock you like a hurricane as his entrance music. Uncle Sam has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Sam or perhaps it was just good defense by Gersham which made him look bad.
Sam lands with a straight right. Gersham didn't see that one coming.
Gersham misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sam.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gersham looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sam misses with a looping right.
Gersham looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Gersham drops Sam with a beautiful combination! Sam stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gersham is looking for the KO!
It looks like Uncle Sam has been cut.
Sam moves out of range of the strikes.
Sam misses with a combination
and Gersham counters with a nice body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sam looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sam is breathing heavily.
Gersham thows a body shot but no joy.
Gersham drops Sam with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sam looks back up at him and smiles so Gersham waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sam is rocked!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gersham wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Oh Sam is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gersham moves into the clinch successfully.
Gersham has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Sam - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Gersham, and another! Sam is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Jermaine Gersham!
