The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gozo lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Kiragosyan sprawling to the canvas. Gozo follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Kiragosyan hang on?

It looks like Samvel Kiragosyan has been cut.
Gozo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kiragosyan keeps working.
Gozo wants to free his trapped foot but Kiragosyan is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Gozo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kiragosyan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kiragosyan pushes Gozo off looking to stand but Gozo dives back in and keeps control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Gozo's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Kiragosyan wants to get back to his feet.

Gozo is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Kiragosyan with him. Kiragosyan is trying to defend but Gozo has an arm under the chin now! Kiragosyan grimaces and is forced to tap out!
